The Woodleigh Residences

The first and the only private residential-cum-retail development that is situated in the core developing new Bidadari estate will offer 667 residential units and close to 28,000 sq m of retail gross floor area.

The 2.54ha plot was hotly contested, drawing 12 bids for what is slated to be a landmark project in Bidadari, which has been oversubscribed in Build-to-Order launches.​

 

SPH and Kajima Development tabled a top bid of S$1.13 billion for the site, which is the first Government Land Sale site offered in the new Bidadari Estate. The price worked out to a land rate of S$1,181 per sq ft per plot ratio (psf ppr) based on the maximum gross floor area allowed for the 99-year leasehold site.

Bidadari Estate

The new Bidadari estate, a Community in a Garden concept:
* The estate has six distinctive neighbourhoods that will be integrated with parks and communal spaces to create a tranquil urban oasis.
* Pedestrian and cyclist-friendly.
* Transformation of undulating greenery into a regional park with manmade lake as the centrepiece – 10 hectares (100k sqm)
*Alkaff Lake, named after a vanished landmark, Alkaff Lake Gardens, which was located there. Alkaff family from Saudi Arabia, who were merchants and landowners, made major contributions to the Singapore economy.

Future growth estate due to its central location, the Bidadari estate spanning 93ha is bounded by Bartley Road, Sennett Estate, Upper Serangoon Road and Mount Vernon Road.

First underground service reservoir built on low ground has the size of 3 Olympic-size pools built under the town’s planned park which stores drinking water, and boost water pressure during high demand.

Connectivity will be another key attraction, with multiple transport links such as Woodleigh MRT station and direct access to Singapore's first air conditioned basement bus interchange.
